I spy in the night sky, don’t I (Lua @skillsmatter)

Lua is rising at Skills Matter. The embeddable scripting language, popular for game development (and named after Earth’s moon), launches its London user group on July 5, 2012.

James Hurst will be introducing OpenResty – offering Lua programming for the Nginx web server. This provides a powerful and very high performance web programming environment, with non-blocking i/o central to the design. Originally developed to power the largest e-commerce site in China, it has recently started to be more widely adopted.
